Marriage
The marriage Law for Northern Ireland has been reviewed and changes relating to the giving of notice, solemnisation and registration of marriages are came into effect from 1 January 2004. Detailed information can be found on the General Register Office website by clicking here. Marriage course at Holy Cross have proved to be of great value to couples in preparation for marriage. If you are thinking about marriage please contact the monastery for more information about the pre-marriage course. The North Belfast Vicariate, which consists of Holy Cross, Holy Family, Sacred Heart, St. Patrick and St. Vincent de Paul parishes have jointly published a "Marriage" booklet, which deals with the things a couple needs to know as they prepare for the sacrament of Marriage.
